The DW6000 system is a Cost-effective satellite terminal providing high-speed broadband access to the large enterprise, small/medium enterprise (SME), small office-home office (SOHO), and rural markets. The DW6000 can supply broadband IP to anywhere in the world and provides highly efficient, two-way satellite services for enterprises of any size. Recognizing the market need for simultaneous support for Internet and other online IP-based applications, HNS designed the DW6000 terminal to provide users with an easy networking solution to connect multiple computers to broadband access via satellite. The DW6000 achieves a high level of functionality with its ability to plug into a variety of external HNS appliances to support voice, legacy protocols and streaming media applications.

The DW6000 terminal delivers broadband access to one or multiple users connected to the same satellite terminal. The system supports two-way connectivity between the remote units and the Internet and intranet networks. The DW6000 receives and transmits data through the system’s antenna and outdoor electronics, over the satellite, and via the DIRECWAY Network Operations Center. TCP connections can be initiated to or from hosts at the remote locations. Users’ intranet communications are secure and isolated from other enterprise intranets and from remotes accessing the “public” Internet operating in the same network.

The DW6000 is a self-hosted and self-booting standalone terminal. The system complies with the industry’s DVB-S standard and, therefore, it is very easy to customize the wide range of outroute data rates by choosing different symbol and FEC coding rates. The downstream is scalable up to 48 Mbps and up to 256 kbps for the return channel. The DW6000 provides an integrated broadband LAN solution to Windows, UNIX, MAC, and other platforms running IP over Ethernet. The DW6000 terminal passes IP data packets to and from any IP device on the LAN and has the functionality of a typical IP router. The DW6000 offers the HNS advanced Performance Enhancing Proxy (PEP) feature, which increases throughput performance and maximizes the user’s experience and satisfaction.

The DW6000 terminal is designed to support content delivery, multicasting, music distribution, distance learning and training, digital media streaming, file transfer, Internet and VPN/intranet access.

The DW 7000 broadband satellite router passes IP data packets to and from any IP device on the LAN and has much of the functionality of a typical IP router. The iDirect series 7000 Satellite Router is the highest performance remote networking solution available today. Developed to meet the most demanding user requirements, the series 7000 is a 19 inch 1U Rack Mounted router ideal for military, network carriers, or high end enterprise customers. The Series 7000 delivers all the benefits of broadband IP networking beyond the constraints of the wired world.

LinkStar Remote Unit is a two-way, bandwidth-on-demand broadband VSAT system for service providers, ISPs, and corporate networking that brings you more efficiency and higher data rates, than other TDMA systems. The forward channel provides a total capacity of 60 Mbps, and return channels to the hub can operate at speeds up to 1.15 Mbps. LinkStar Remote Unit combines broadband access and a high-speed return channel to satisfy bandwidth-intensive applications using IP data over existing C- and Ku-band FSS satellites.

 Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation combined with guaranteed Quality of Service (QoS) and TCP acceleration features make LinkStar Remote Unit more efficient and faster than other TDMA systems. The combination automatically increases the speed of your return channel to give you the throughput you need. With the highest return channel data rate in the industry, there is plenty of room to fast send, even large multimedia files.

Near DVB-RCS + Turbo Coding enables you to use your satellite bandwidth more efficiently and further increase return channel throughput.

S2 system is a two-way, bandwidth-on-demand broadband VSAT system designed around the DVB-RCS standard for service providers, ISPs, and corporate networks. Linkstar S2 brings more efficiency and higher data rates to the market than other TDMA systems. The new S2 Broadband VSAT System combines broadband access and a high-speed return channel to satisfy bandwidth-intensive applications using IP data over any fixed satellite.

Since their introduction, LinkStar® VSATs have been built on a foundation of open standard DVB technology, including a DVB-S or DVB-S2 forward link and DVB-RCS return link. A LinkStar-S2 terminal can operate in either of two over-the-air downloadable software personalities. The DVB-RCS software enables interoperability with other manufacturers. The standard LinkStar e-ATM software includes additional advanced features not included in the DVB-RCS standard.

Terminal FeaturesThe linkstar S2 system compliant technology includes advanced LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) coding for ultra-low Eb/No performance near Shannon's theoretical limit along with 8PSK coding for bandwidth reductions up to 30% below traditional values.
